As a client of Wylies for many years I would always ask to see "Mr Butcher" if I could, as a vet I thought he was an absolutely brilliant clever man and THE best vet EVER, often he did not need to do tests to know what was wrong with an animal , I cannot not sing his praises high enough, I remember him coming to my house in Ockendon to immunise all my dogs for kennel cough and he told me his mother still lived in Ockendon, I would not normally leave anything like this but I felt so sad that the veterinary profession has lost such a brilliant, clever,funny man,who deserved a lot more reward and recognition for his services to animals R.I.P " Mr Butcher"
